Last night I read at an Open Mic night organized by Webook.com and held at Roots & Vines at 409 Grand St.

I read a poem titled "Alex" which I wrote in 2003 and I was really nervous. My friend Victoria was there and that was good because most of the room was filled with about 20 guys. I was up 4th and my poem was not as tame as all the other readers' work. I'm going to upload it to my personal website at http://jillpallack.com as I would love some feedback and I like to share my writing.

I was choosing between the poem and a very short story about a girl on a train in Italy. I wish I had read the short story. I'm going to post that on the website too and welcome your comments.
